The Palestinians criticized Infantino’s visit to Israel, and the FIFA president attended an event held in a museum built in Jerusalem’s historic Muslim cemetery.
FIFA President Gianni Infantino suggested that Israel and other regional countries co-host the 2030 World Cup, the office of Israeli Prime Minister Naftali Bennett said after a meeting on Tuesday.
Infantino became the first head of the world football governing body to visit Israel this week.
Bennett’s spokesperson said on Twitter: “During their discussion, the FIFA President raised the idea that Israel will host #WorldCup with other countries in the region in 2030, especially the United Arab Emirates.”

The Palestinian Football Association (PFA) stated that because the FIFA president participated in an event in Israel, “it did not convey the message he announced about the values of the international football system”, so it apologized for not hosting Infantino.
In the presence of former U.S. officials who are part of the Trump administration, Infantino participated in the opening ceremony of the “Friedman Through Forces and Peace Center” held at the Israel Tolerance Museum, which PFA condemned on Tuesday for “participating.” A political meeting has nothing to do with sports”.
The museum was built on the historic Muslim cemetery in Jerusalem. PFA condemned the cemetery for “flagrant violation of international law, human rights and the feelings of millions of Muslims in the world”.
The PFA stated in a statement that politicizing sports will not help the cause of peace.
Israel has a record of bombing Palestinian stadiums, preventing football players from the Gaza Strip from training and playing with Palestinians in the occupied West Bank, and locking down and arresting football players.
“We had hoped that this visit would be the prelude to ending the suffering of Palestinian players and the occupational measures aimed at preventing the spread and development of the game in the Palestinian territories, rather than supporting the Anglican-Zionist groups that claimed to be them. Call for violations. International law does not deprive the Palestinian people of their basic rights,” the PFA statement added.

South America also hopes to participate in the World Cup scheduled to be held in 2030. They can bid together with Uruguay, Argentina, Paraguay and Chile, and United Britain is also considering bidding.

The sponsor will be determined in 2024.
Following the 2022 World Cup in Qatar, the first 48-nation World Cup will be held in the United States, Canada and Mexico in 2026.
FIFA is considering the feasibility of hosting a World Cup every two years from 2028, but this has been opposed by various agencies in the game, including the European Union UEFA.
