Taste of Dubai Festival, the ultimate dining experience, recently partnered with the Israeli Consulate General to introduce Israeli chef Tom Aviv to the UAE for a one-of-a-kind culinary experience.
Known for his innovative approach to Israeli cuisine, Chef Tom Aviv showcases the diversity of Israeli cuisine in a live cooking class at Dubai Media City Amphitheatre.
Chef Tom Aviv from Tel Aviv broke into the Israeli food scene after winning the “MasterChef” award in 2016, without formal culinary training. Since then, he has also appeared on several television shows such as “Ready, Steady, Go” and “Passport for Recipe, Cooking Secrets” and “The Chef.” After gaining notoriety for his intrepid and out-of-the-box recipes, he founded Coco Group and went on to lead the opening of five distinct and highly successful culinary concepts.
At Dubai Food Festival, chef Tom Aviv makes his one-of-a-kind Chraime pasta recipe live in two 30-minute sessions. Chraime Pasta is a special take on traditional Chraime dishes, consisting of a fish stewed in a rich tomato sauce with chilli and other spices to infuse flavor and inspire the senses. Chraime is traditionally prepared by North African Israeli Jews for Shabbat dinner on Friday nights.
“I am very excited to be a part of the Dubai Food Festival,” said Chef Tom, “My passion for food and dedication to showcasing the diversity of Israeli cuisine fits perfectly with the mission of the Dubai Food Festival, which is to provide a one-of-a-kind culinary experience.” – trade arab news agency
