Jacqueline Jackson is discharged from the hospital after the COVID-19 fight-Jesse Jackson is still receiving physical therapy at the rehabilitation facility (update)

Last month, civil rights icon Pastor Jesse Jackson and his wife Jacqueline Jackson were hospitalized after testing positive for COVID-19. On Friday, their family provided an update on their condition in a statement.

Jacqueline Jackson was discharged from Northwestern Memorial Hospital and sent home after battling the virus. However, Jesse Jackson is still receiving intensive occupational and physical therapy at the Shirley Ryan Ability Laboratory. Their son Jesse Jackson Jr. shared a picture of Jesse Jackson Sr. in the facility and admitted that his father is now COVID-negative while continuing treatment.

Family statement continues state, “We urge you to continue to keep them in your prayers. The love confided to our families when sick and in need around the world has helped our parents recover. For each of you who pray and express concerns, we I am grateful, even if we continue to express our love and concern for the millions of people affected by the COVID-19 virus and its variants.”

As we are Before According to reports, Pastor Jackson was diagnosed with Parkinson’s disease in 2015 and talked about his diagnosis publicly in 2017, which is why he received physical therapy.

Pastor Jackson was fully vaccinated before contracting COVID-19, and his wife Jacqueline was not caused by a previous illness.
