Japanese billionaire Yusaku Maezawa tweeted Monday that he plans to make a “big announcement” related to space after meeting with SpaceX owner Elon Musk.
Yusaku Maezawa, founder of online fashion site Zozo Inc, completed a tourist trip aboard a Soyuz spacecraft to the International Space Station (ISS) last December and plans to travel around the moon with Musk’s rocket and satellite company SpaceX in 2023 .

The 47-year-old entrepreneur said on Twitter that he had held an online meeting with Musk and “can now make a big announcement about space on Dec. 9.”
The space enthusiast is likely to be the first private passenger on SpaceX’s moon mission, with a week-long flyby planned for 2023, as commercial companies including Jeff Bezos’ Blue Origin pioneer a new venture for wealthy clients. A new era of space travel.
