Jayda Cheaves was convicted of illegal possession of a firearm and fined nearly $5,400 in Jamaica

TSR update: Jayda Cheaves and her entourage are expected to return to the United States later today because she and Greg Wright were found guilty Illegal possession of guns and ammunition.

according to Observer for JamaicaOn Monday, Jayda and her crew were about to leave Sangster Airport on a private jet when they discovered the weapons. Jayda and Greg appeared in the Western Regional Gun Court earlier Wednesday. They received a fine of 800,000 U.S. dollars, equivalent to slightly less than 5,400 U.S. dollars, for illegal possession of guns and illegal possession of ammunition.

According to the “Observer”, the authorities working at Montego Bay Airport received an alert from Jamaican customs officers, who reportedly found these weapons in Jada and Greg’s luggage.

When searching their luggage, two black boxes were found-one containing a black Smith and Wesson 9mm pistol and eight 9mm cartridges, a black, gray and pink SCCY 9mm pistol and seven 9mm ammunition cylinder.

Jayda and Greg admitted to possessing these weapons, but later revealed that they had not declared possession of guns and ammunition after they arrived on the island.

The two avoided any time of imprisonment in the island country. Jayda’s representative did not immediately respond to the statement request.

For the past week, Jada and her friends have been celebrating her 24th birthday in Jamaica.
