Jeremy Renner broke more than 30 bones in a snowplow accident on New Year’s Day.
The 52-year-old actor is currently recovering in hospital after being run over by a snowplow, and Jeremy has taken to Instagram to share an update with his followers.
The Hollywood star – best known for his role as Hawkeye in the Marvel films – wrote: “Morning exercises, resolutions all transformed this special New Years…born from the tragedy of my entire family and a quick focus on what is possible in unity love [heart emoji] I want to thank everyone for their information and thoughtfulness towards me and my family…. Much love and thanks to all of you. Those 30+ broken bones will heal and grow stronger, just as the love and bonds with family and friends deepen. Love and blessings to all of you. (sic)”
Meanwhile, Kym Renner – Jeremy’s sister – is encouraged by the progress he’s made in recent days.
She shared: “We’re so excited about his progress. If anyone knows Jeremy, he’s a fighter and doesn’t mess around. He’s smashing every goal of progress.”
Kym and other family members are optimistic about his recovery. However, she also knew that he still had a long way to go.
“We feel very optimistic about the road ahead,” she said.
Jeremy was injured trying to move a stranded family member’s car out of the snow near his home.

A doctor who lived nearby put a tourniquet on his leg until the actor was airlifted to hospital. He was then taken to the intensive care unit in a critical condition before undergoing surgery on his injuries.
