Jimmy Carter’s legacy seems to improve with age historical news

Former US President Jimmy Carter will celebrate his 97th birthday on Friday. One gift he will enjoy is to reassess his political image, especially how people view his achievements in the White House.

“His achievements are easier to see, but his failures are rarely remembered,” said Jonathan Alter, author of “His Best.” Jimmy Carter, a kind of life.

“Trump lied with such obvious rules. Carter’s business card is the cornerstone of honesty. Therefore, the difference between these two men couldn’t be more different,” said Presidential historian Douglas Brinkley (Douglas Brinkley). Brinkley said that some of his actions in the White House are directly related to some of his efforts after he stepped down as president. “It’s all Jimmy Carter,” Brinkley said. “He uses the White House as a stepping stone to greater success, which means that they are interconnected-the president and the post-president,” declared Brinkley, who went to Haiti and the Middle East with Carter.

Historians have different views on him.
