John Legend at the Louvre Abu Dhabi was my first live concert and it didn’t disappoint

[ad_1]

all of my love John Legend in concert at the Louvre Abu Dhabi last weekend.

It was my first live concert and it was spectacular. Let’s just say I came with high expectations and left with even higher hopes. As one bystander told me, I set the bar high for my next one.

I’m from India, where there are indeed a lot of concerts, but I’m always put off by the thought of the unruly crowd pushing around. I mean, it happens every day on public transport, why would I volunteer for this experience in the name of entertainment?

So when the opportunity presented itself in a city as safe and inviting as Abu Dhabi, I was ecstatic.

Louvre Abu Dhabi, Celebrate the fifth anniversary of its openingis the perfect magical background, and Legend provides us with one click after another.

The floating stage could have been bigger, but I’m not complaining as they projected the show onto one of the white cuboid blocks beneath the magnificent dome designed by Jean Nouvel.

The stands were packed, the weather was good and Legend swaggered in, easily beating Chrissy Teigen’s sloped trail. seriously.

First, he started the concert on time. I mean, if you do that in 2022, I respect you. Thank you for not being late.

Second, halfway through the concert, he sang love songs while making us, the international audience, turn around and express our love for each other. You should see a smile on everyone’s face when they start saying “I love you” to random strangers. It’s fun and sweet. As he puts it, if the past few months have shown us anything, it’s that the world needs more love.

Some waved, some screamed, some danced, some sang. This is an everyone’s concert, and Legend wants us to know that from the start.

Not only did he impress us with his singing, but his acting was spot on too. The mic stand fell off, a swirl here, a jerk there, and he didn’t once wipe the glistening sweat off his face. The man didn’t lip-sync, thank God for that.

he started with ordinary people And us ordinary people hum along with him:

Take it slow, oh, oh this time we’ll take it slow

Well, no one is in a hurry to end this concert.

and john sang minefield, used to love you and nervousthe highlight of the evening was seeing him on the piano playing audience favorite My everything.

I went to the concert alone but a group of enthusiastic ladies were next to me and were quick to tell me I was part of their night.

So I have great company, we share keepsakes and click photos and keep telling each other how lucky we are.

Indeed, I came out of the concert feeling lucky and happy.

John Legend lives up to the hype of being a part of it 17 Eggert (Emmy, Grammy, Academy Award and Tony Award) winner. Now, I want more of this live concert scene, maybe even better, if not the same, if possible.

Suggestions welcome, but they need to beat this spectacular venue.
