Johnny Depp is reportedly no longer dating his former lawyer Joel Richie.
The 59-year-old “Pirates of the Caribbean” actor is said to be out with lawyers representing him in a defamation trial against The Sun newspaper in his 2018 defamation lawsuit against ex-wife Amber Heard.
He and the 37-year-old London lawyer said they had resigned, a source told PEOPLE on Friday (11/4/22), but did not mention the reason for the alleged split.
Page Six reports that the pair are said to be “not that serious in the beginning.”
A source previously told TMZ that Johnny and Joel “are romantically connected, but not exclusive.”
Joel was seen in Virginia’s 36-year-old Johnny’s defamation trial against Amber, apparently in an effort to support the actor in a heated lawsuit.
News of the duo’s apparent split comes after reports emerged that Johnny would make a cameo appearance at Rihanna’s upcoming fourth Savage X Fenty fashion show.
According to TMZ, he is said to appear as a surprise guest on Savage X Fenty Vol 4, which will premiere on Amazon Prime Video on November 9.
Production sources told the outlet that Johnny won’t be walking the runway, but will be the first to appear in the show’s “star” position, which previously featured Cindy Crawford.
