Johnson Controls, a global leader in smart, healthy and sustainable buildings, has signed a strategic agreement with Etihad Esco to deploy its key energy-saving measures in Dubai municipal facilities in the United Arab Emirates.
Etihad Esco is Dubai’s super energy services company developing and implementing energy efficiency and solar energy projects.
The Johnson Controls statement said the project, known as the Energy Performance Contract, could save Dubai Municipality 16.6 million kilowatt-hours of electricity and 9.3 million gallons of water annually.
In addition, it has contributed to the Dubai Demand Side Management Strategy (DSM) developed by the Dubai Supreme Energy Council (DSCE) to make the emirate a leader in sustainable development, with the ambitious goal of integrating electricity and electricity by 2030. Water consumption is reduced by 30%.

Abuothman said Johnson Controls has been at the forefront of bringing low-carbon technologies to markets in energy-intensive industries, with the goal of reducing carbon dioxide emissions by about 7,304 tons per year as part of the Dubai City project.
