exclusive: portland co-creator Jonathan Krisel is negotiating to direct studyThis isDetective Pikachu The live-action sequel based on Legendary Entertainment’s globally popular Pokémon franchise. Chris Galletta is writing the script for the follow-up to Legendary’s 2019 box office smash.
The original film was directed by Rob Letterman and starred in ryan reynolds, Ken Watanabe, Justice Smith, and Katherine Newton. It was released by Warner Bros. on May 10, 2019, and grossed over $430 million worldwide. While no deal has been struck and nothing has been confirmed yet, insiders believe Reynolds will have some role in the upcoming sequel.
