NEW YORK (AP) — actor jonathan majors He was arrested Saturday in New York on charges of strangulation, battery and harassment, authorities said.
New York City police say recently released star Majors “Creed Three” and “Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantum Fever” A domestic dispute with a 30-year-old woman. Police responded to a 911 call around 11 a.m. at an apartment in Chelsea’s Manhattan neighborhood.
“The victim told police she was assaulted,” an NYPD spokesman said in a statement. “Police took the 33-year-old male into custody without incident. The victim sustained minor head and neck injuries and was taken to an area hospital in a stable condition.”
He was no longer in police custody as of Saturday evening, an NYPD spokesman confirmed to The Associated Press.
Representatives for Majors have denied any wrongdoing by the actor.
“He did nothing wrong,” the representative said in an email to The Associated Press Saturday. “We look forward to clearing him and clearing this matter.”
