Katie Sinclair has been named the new head of development at Riff Raff Entertainment, the development and production company co-founded by the Oscar-nominated actor Jude Law and creative partner Ben Jackson.
She joins from Blueprint Pictures, whose credits as head of development include Martin McDonagh’s upcoming “Inisherin Banshee,” which is seen as a major awards season cast and will be screened at the Venice and Toronto International Film Festivals; The Beautiful Game , directed by Thea Sharrock; and Andrew Hague’s Stranger Things, starring Andrew Scott, Paul Mezcal, Claire Foy and Jamie Bell. Sinclair has produced “Lady Chatterley’s Lover” for the Sony 3000 and Netflix. She has been actively involved in finding and directing Blueprint’s feature film projects.
Before joining Blueprint, Sinclair worked for Rose Garnett and Eva Yates at BBC Film. She has previously worked in production and development at BBC Studios, Sugar Films, Disney and Lionsgate, and has produced award-winning short films.
Sinclair marks the second key hire for Riff Raff, which recently hired seasoned media veteran Stephen Fuss, who served as CEO at Stargrove Pictures and Ingenious Media, to support the TV and film production company’s growth.
Previously, Riff Raff received a multi-million dollar infusion from Calculus Capital, including the Calculus Creative Content EIS Fund, which will provide overhead for key new hires and enable the company to acquire and develop additional projects. The company said the funding, along with an initial agreement with New Republic Pictures in 2021, will help Riff Raff gain access to highly sought-after material and attract quality writers on both sides of the Atlantic.

Sinclair officially begins her new role in early September 2022.
Law, whose credits include Mr. Ripley the Genius, Captain Marvel and Sherlock Holmes, co-founded Riff Raff with Jackson in 2017. The company produces the psychodrama as well as the film adaptation of “True Things” Deborah Kay Davies’ book “True Things About Me” was originally selected by Law and Jackson , and directed by BAFTA Award winner Harry Wootliff. It also has a number of series and films in various stages of development and production, including a contemporary comedy written in London by Sharon Horgan, Politics to be written and directed by David O’Russell “The Best Enemy,” and a major new series written by “Inheritance” and “Better Call Saul” writer Jonathan Glatzer.
