July 5th Beach Cleanup Volunteer Opportunity
Thousands of people flocked to the beaches of Santa Barbara to celebrate Independence Day, and unfortunately, a lot of rubbish ended up on the sand. This year, you have two opportunities to participate in the solution. First, make sure you pick yourself up before leaving the beach on July 4th. Second, if you want to take it to the next level, volunteer to help with the cleanup on July 5th.
For the first time, the Waterfront Department will be partnering with the Santa Barbara Channelkeeper and other nonprofits to conduct beach cleanups on Leadbetter Beach and East Beach on July 5 from 9 a.m. to 11 a.m. To register, please visit: https://www.signupgenius.com/go/10c0c4fa5ae2ba4fbc70-july
Gloves and buckets will be provided so all you need to do is show up.
