Francesca Cappucci, a popular entertainment and music reporter for KABC-TV in Los Angeles for more than a decade, has died. She is 64 years old.
Capucci’s eldest son, Ian Lyndon, told Capucci she died on March 30 at Huntington Hospital in Pasadena after being diagnosed with stage 4 metastatic lung cancer in July hollywood reporter. She never smoked, “is a health advocate, runs and works out every day, here’s why [her illness] It was such a shock,” he said.

Cappucci covered show business and was interviewed for the ABC-owned station from 1984-98 “The biggest and best in music,” KABC entertainment reporter George Pennacchio said.
She also played a reporter on TV shows such as colby family, columbus, seventh heaven, practice and Charmed while in the film beverly hills ninja (1997).
Francesca Maria Cappucci was born on June 29, 1958 in Los Angeles, middle class. She graduated from San Marino High School and attended Loyola Marymount University for two years before launching her journalism career.
She started her career in public affairs at Los Angeles radio station KIQQ-FM (K-100), where she hosted a public affairs talk show, anchored newscasts, and produced a morning drive show with Jay Coffey.
At KABC, she interviewed the likes of Rod Stewart, david bowie and Michael Jackson before leaving the station after Ian’s birth.
She produced and co-wrote a 2018 short film with Ian (who also directed), not mestarring the future Netflix Outer Banks Star Rudy Pankow And performed in several film festivals.
In addition to her son, survivors include her siblings Rafael and Isabella; her ex-husband Gordon Fordyce; and close friends Kim Kelly, Diana Brown and Meredith Brooks.
