Kanye West claims to have been “beaten up” in recent weeks.
The 45-year-old rap star recently lost lucrative contracts with the likes of Balenciaga, Adidas and Gap after posting an anti-Semitic message on social media, and Kanye has now taken to Instagram to bemoan his situation and perceived lack of Transparency in the business world.
The outspoken star said on the photo-sharing platform: “Although I’m still allowed on Mark Zuckerberg’s platform
“I’ll say it again
“Let’s look at the contract
“Film Contract
“Sports Contract
“Music Contract
“Mortgage
“Let’s look at the contract
“So we can or better do better business
“I was beaten up and still not responsible. (sic)”
Kanye also captioned the post: “‘Force Unknown’ is trying to destroy my life with a tweet So does this prove my so-called suspicion is true? Leading with love This is #lovespeech (sic)”
Kanye made the comments shortly after his Twitter account was restored to the platform.
The “stronger” hit producer was recently suspended by the platform after posting anti-Semitic tweets – but new Twitter owner Elon Musk confirmed that Kanye’s account has been reinstated.
The 51-year-old businessman, who recently bought Twitter for $44 billion, wrote on the microblogging platform: “Twitter will form a broad-based content moderation committee.
“No major content decisions or account recovery will occur until this committee meets. (sic)”
In response, an account called “Republicans Against Trumpism” asked the new Twitter boss: “So why did you reinstate Kanye West? Twitter shouldn’t be a platform for promoting racism and anti-Semitism. (sic)”
Elon – a friend of the controversial rap star – then explained: “Ye’s account was reinstated by Twitter before it was acquired. They didn’t consult or notify me. (sic)”
