Speaking to a well-wisher, Kate Middleton revealed how her children Prince George, Princess Charlotte and Prince Louis felt about the coronation.
“They were really nice, thank you,” she said.
“Excited and a little bit nervous about the big day coming up,” she added, explaining that even though she was nervous, she wanted to appear “relatively calm on the outside.”
“All good. Hope is a bit like a swan, relatively calm on the outside but paddling inside,” she said.
Of King Charles, Kate Middleton said: “Of course I’m looking forward to it too. It’s great to be here and say ‘hello’ to everyone who’s been out for so long.”

The exchange took place during a spontaneous walk by King Charles, Prince William and Princess Kate Middleton. The trio shook hands with the public as people cheered, took selfies and sang “God Save the King.”
Prince William joked to a woman who planned to spend the night camping out: “Not much sleep. Sit on chairs.”
He then added: “There’s going to be a good party atmosphere.”
