Pinarayi Vijayan, Chief Minister of the Indian state of Kerala, will visit the UAE next month.
During the four-day visit, the Chief Minister is expected to attend an investment conference in Abu Dhabi, interact with the public and participate in other events.
An organizing committee made up of representatives from dozens of associations, organizations, business groups and entities has been formed to coordinate the different projects and make the visit a success.
Led by Yusuffali MA, Managing Director and Chairman of LuLu Group, the committee has more than 150 members
The highlight of the visit will be the second anniversary celebrations of the Pinarayi Vijayan government. The left-wing democratic government led by the Communist Party of India (Marxist) is in Kerala for a historic second consecutive term. Vijayan’s continued tenure at the helm of the LDF is a major achievement which includes addressing several challenges such as the Covid-19 pandemic.
According to committee members, Vijayan will attend a reception hosted by Kerala Social Center at the National Theater in Abu Dhabi on May 7. He will also first interact with the public in the capital.
The UAE remains the most popular destination for Keralas to work abroad. During the public interaction, the Chief Minister will highlight several of his government’s achievements and lay out plans and development projects for the future.
The minister will lead a high-level delegation including ministers and senior officials. Another reception was arranged in Dubai and other meetings and events were planned during the visit.
