CHESTERFIELD, MO — Keystone Construction Co. has completed Hub Stl, a $4 million outdoor entertaining space in Chesterfield’s St. Louis section. The district is dedicated to live music, dining concepts and retail spaces.
Construction on Hub Stl began last fall with the demolition of the Polo building. Keystone built a 70-foot by 21-foot performance stage with a 400-seat artificial turf viewing deck. A large LED screen will be installed later this summer along with a sound and lighting system. The performance area will be surrounded by local restaurants with terraces, breweries and beer gardens. Expected to open later this summer is 4 Hands Brewing Co., which will occupy a 10,000-square-foot bar. The brewery’s culinary partner, Hi-Pointe Drive-In, will operate a fast-casual dining concept within the space.
Keystone has previously built two other destinations in The District – Main Event and The Factory. Main Event is a 50,000 square foot indoor entertainment center with 22 bowling lanes, laser tag, gravity rope and hundreds of arcade and virtual reality games. The Factory is a 52,000 square foot indoor concert venue that can accommodate up to 3,400 people. According to Keystone, it’s the first performance venue built from the ground up in the Midwest in more than 20 years.
The Staenberg Group is the developer behind The District, while HDA Architects and O’Toole Design Associates are the architects.
