The signing ceremony took place at the World Utilities Congress in Abu Dhabi between Eng Ahmed Al Shamsi, Managing Director and CEO, SWS Holding, and Mohamed Al Khadar Al Ahmed, CEO, Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi – Kezad Group, at In the presence of some senior executives from both sides.
Many industrial customers within Kezad Musaffah will benefit greatly from the availability of purified water. By filtering and treating the treated sewage effluent (TSE), it will remove additional impurities and pollutants to generate non-potable water suitable for industrial use.
This state-of-the-art polishing plant provides industries with cost-effective high-quality reclaimed water, reducing reliance on potable water sources. As an increasingly sustainable water management solution, it helps reduce the carbon footprint of many industrial sectors and raises environmental awareness. A statement said the initiative would preserve drinking water for the rapidly growing UAE population and push the country towards its sustainable development goals.

SWS Holding, together with Kezad Group, will oversee the development and operation of the polishing plant, which will be able to treat 20,000 cubic meters of influent water per day.
