Kezad Communities enters partnership agreement with Taqa unit

Kezad Communities, a real estate investment company specializing in residential solutions for employees, and Abu Dhabi Energy Services (ADES) have announced a partnership agreement on energy efficiency for projects in Abu Dhabi.

The partnership aims to leverage the strengths of both organizations to advance Abu Dhabi’s Demand Side Management and Energy Rationalization Strategy 2030.

The strategy set targets for a 22% reduction in electricity consumption and a 32% reduction in water consumption.

The MoU also aligns with the UAE Circular Economy Policy 2021-2023, which promotes sustainable consumption patterns to minimize environmental impact.

According to Abdulaziz A. Bawazeer, CEO of Kezad Communities, following the signing of the agreement with Khalid Mohammed Al Qubaisi, under the agreement, ADES will act as the project developer and look for opportunities to improve the efficiency of water and electricity consumption at the facilities operated by Kezad Communities, ADES CEO.

“Sustainability has always been a key focus for Kezad Group. As a major developer and operator of staff housing in the Emirate of Abu Dhabi, we are eager to ensure that water and electricity consumption in the 40 staff quarters we manage is efficient and sustainable”, Bawazeer pointed out.

“Our work with ADES has ensured that we not only understand consumption patterns, but also have clear plans to use resources sustainably and efficiently while remaining environmentally friendly,” he said.

The signing ceremony was attended by Ahmed Mohammed Al Rumaithi, Undersecretary of Abu Dhabi’s Department of Energy (DoE), and Mohamed Al Khadar Al Ahmed, Chief Executive Officer of Khalifa Economic Zones Abu Dhabi – Kezad Group.

This collaboration will drive growth in the local energy services market, enabling the organization to future-proof operations while delivering economic and environmental sustainability benefits to Kezad Communities.

Al Qubaisi said: “In the Year of Sustainability, we are delighted to join forces with Kezad Communities, a forward-thinking organization that aligns with our vision for a sustainable future. The MoU provides ADES and Kezad Communities to leverage cutting-edge technology Energy efficiency measures that pave the way to reduce energy demand and subsequently reduce greenhouse gas emissions.

He added that the agreement outlines key areas of collaboration between ADES and Kezad Communities, such as improving building retrofit operations by upgrading or optimizing systems to increase hydropower efficiency while reducing consumption.-TradeArabia News Service
