KEZAD cooperates with Tubacex to build OCTG-CRA manufacturing plant

Abu Dhabi’s KEZAD Group, also known as the Abu Dhabi Khalifa Economic Zone, has signed a land lease agreement with Spain’s Tubacex Group to develop a production facility for OCTG-CRA pipe solutions, the first of its kind in the Middle East manufacturing facility.

The 50,000 sqm facility will enable Tubacex to establish a strong presence in the UAE while gaining access to its global network of clients. The company provides a wide range of stainless steel tube solutions to the energy industry and is a fully integrated one-stop shop.

The production facility is expected to be operational by the end of 2024. KEZAD said its partnership with Tubacex aims to further improve the localization and resilience of the supply chain.

The company has production facilities in Spain, Austria, Italy, USA, India, Thailand, Saudi Arabia, UAE, Norway, Canada, Singapore, Guyana and Kazakhstan.

KEZAD Attracts Global Players

Meanwhile, the deal with Tubacex is the latest in a series of agreements for manufacturing facilities to be developed in integrated and dedicated economic zones.British Entel An agreement was signed with KEZAD in March to invest $50 million in a production facility for the manufacture of fiber optic ducts and pre-connector solutions.

The facility will serve as the global center for Emtelle’s fiber optic network solutions. This is expected to provide the company with an opportunity to expand its manufacturing capabilities for micro-ducts, bundled tubing and pre-connector solutions.

The economic zone has signed a 50-year land lease agreement with Al Ghurair Foods for three large-scale food processing projects involving an investment of more than AED 1 billion.

Three South Korean companies, Korea Electric Power Corporation, Samsung C&T Corporation and Korea Western Power Corporation, have also teamed up with the UAE’s Petrolyn Chemie to build a $1 billion green hydrogen and ammonia production plant in the KIZAD industrial zone.

KEZAD is a subsidiary of AD Ports Group, and its infrastructure and services span 12 economic zones located in the Abu Dhabi, Al Ain and Al Dhafra regions, covering a total area of ​​550 square kilometers, including more than 40 properties under its subsidiary KEZAD Communities Staff accommodation complex.
