Khaled AlShehhi of UAE Government Media Office wins World Media Awards

[ad_1]

AlShehhi will accept the award at an exclusive live ceremony at the Ham Yard Hotel in London on Thursday 8th September 2022, where the winner of the final category will also be announced. This year’s prestigious Grand Prix winners will also be announced on the night, tying with previous Grand Prix winners London & Partners, Malaria No More UK, Shell, Sonos and Tata Motors for “best of the best”.

The global organisation praised the way the UAE Government Media Office handled communications, saying: “AlShehhi has been leading a number of award-winning creative campaigns, including transforming the Burj Khalifa into the world’s largest donation box, reaching 4.6 billion people and raising Serving more than 1.2 million meals for those most affected by COVID.

“The campaign effect, however, is only part of the story; AlShehhi has transformed the way government entities approach communications by making creative excellence the essence of their function. It is clear that the UAE Media Office is behaving like a brand, not an agency. “

WMG cited AlShehhi’s pioneering efforts to support the Middle East’s first Mars mission, including “Two Moons,” a regional first-ever projection stunt, and limited edition Mars ink passport stamps for tourists arriving in the UAE, as a showcase of “this a unique way of creating.”

“Similarly, ‘Winter in My Eyes’, a short video showing the beauty of the UAE from the perspective of the blind, pushes the boundaries of traditional travel content,” the statement added.

The two co-chairs – Hamish Goulding, Group Head of Brand Strategy, HSBC, and Ritu Lakhanpal, Managing Partner, McCann Worldwide – and Belinda Barker, CEO of World Media Group, agreed that AlShehhi has upended the rules of government communication by putting creativity in his hands leadership core to provide influence and effectiveness not often seen in public institutions.

“The quality of the candidates for the 2022 Content Leadership and Innovation Awards nominated by members of the World Media Group has been outstanding this year. Each of them has demonstrated innovation, creativity and brand courage at their events, so it was a tough call ,” Buck said.

“Our judges were impressed by the breadth and depth of the campaign Khaled AlShehhi delivered, demonstrating creativity, courage and pushing the boundaries of communications and marketing in an often dry industry.”

“The World Media Awards showcase the best in content marketing, so I’m delighted to receive the Content Leadership and Innovation Award,” said AlShehhi.

“My goal,” AlShehhi continued, “has always been to change the way the UAE government communicates by producing original, innovative and creative content that has a positive impact on the lives of people locally, regionally and globally, so this for me It is indeed an honor – certainly my team – to see our work recognized by our peers.”
