At the direction of President His Highness Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Sheikh Khalid bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi and Chairman of the Abu Dhabi Executive Council His Excellency Al Nahyan launched the expansion of the Al Falah housing project, providing 899 new homes for citizens at a cost of more than AED1.92 billion.
During the inauguration, HH Sheikh Khaled was briefed on the project’s infrastructure, building specifications and architectural design features as part of the UAE Neighborhood Initiative.
He also examines the interior and exterior finishes of villas that meet the highest international standards to meet the needs of citizens and enhance their quality of life.
HH Sheikh Khaled bin Mohammed was accompanied by Dr. Ahmed Mubarak Al Mazrouei, Chairman, Abu Dhabi Administrative Office; Mohammed Ali Al Shorafa, Chairman, Ministry of Municipalities and Transport and Chairman, Abu Dhabi Housing Council; Saif Saeed Ghobash, Secretary General, Abu Dhabi Executive Council; Hamad Hareb Al, Director General, Abu Dhabi Housing Authority Muhairi; Muna Al Dhaheri, Director General, Operational Affairs, Abu Dhabi Administrative Office; Saif Badr Al Qubaisi, Minister of Municipalities and Transport; Talal Al Dhiyebi, CEO, Aldar Properties;
The project was developed to create a cohesive integrated community with all necessary amenities. Each villa features a design that reflects the UAE’s national identity, culture and heritage to meet the needs of citizens and enhance their quality of life.
The expansion of Al Falah is the latest phase following the first and second phases of the project, which has provided citizens with 4,857 homes since 2012, reflecting the growing urban size of the Al Falah region.
The expansion of the Al Falah housing project covers 215 hectares and includes 899 houses, five mosques and five parks, as well as allocated land for commercial and community facilities. Each villa includes five bedrooms, two council rooms (one gents and one ladies), dining and living rooms, and other facilities.
Mohammed Ali Al Shorafa said: “The inauguration of this phase of the housing project reflects our leadership’s directive to ensure the highest standard of living, stability and well-being for UAE citizens and their families. The project contributes to the creation of a vibrant, attractive and safe communities, improving the lifestyles of citizens and stimulating economic and social development across Abu Dhabi.”
Hamad Hareb Al Muhairi said: “In delivering on our leadership’s directives by enhancing citizens’ quality of life and stability, we remain committed to developing housing projects that meet their needs and ensure the holistic development of communities.”
