Khidmah, one of the region’s leading facilities management and home maintenance companies, said it has acquired two major companies – green building enabler Pactive Sustainable Solutions and Mace Macro Technical Services, the UAE-based hard facilities management arm of Mace Group.
Pactive Sustainable Solutions (Pactive) is an accredited energy services company (Esco), certified energy auditor, and a company specializing in energy performance contracts, building and industrial energy audits, and green building services such as LEED certification and 3D energy Modeling) company.
Pactive also specializes in HVAC automation and has unique solutions to save energy on split system air conditioners. Mace Macro Technical Services, part of Mace Group, a global real estate agency, provides hardware facility management solutions to a variety of commercial buildings in the region.
The acquisitions are part of Khidmah’s expansion and growth strategy to strengthen its service proposition and geographic reach while driving the company’s operational and financial performance going forward, a company statement said.
They bring new opportunities for Khidmah and its clients, enabling the company to offer a variety of sustainable solutions that help the built environment become greener and expand its portfolio and geographic footprint.
Regarding the strategic move, CEO Abdellatif Sfaxi said: “The acquisition of Pactive and integration of the business into our operations supports the UAE’s strategic focus to achieve net zero emissions by 2050. As a certified Esco and sustainable solutions provider Together, Pactive and Khidmah will help customers realize their green ambitions, achieve operational efficiencies and protect the environment.”
“On the other hand, the acquisition of Mace Macro Technical Services has increased our portfolio in Dubai by more than 50 percent,” he added.
Established in 2015, Pactive is one of the few ESCO-certified companies in the UAE. Since then, the firm has audited more than 700 commercial and residential properties in Dubai, Sharjah, Abu Dhabi, Ras Al Khaimah and Ajman, including mosques, schools, hospitals, police stations and free zone buildings.
