King Charles ‘more approachable’ than his mother, the late Queen Elizabeth? | world news

[ad_1]

King Charles has been hailed as “more approachable” than the late Queen Elizabeth in a new survey by former Conservative Party vice-chairman Lord Ashcroft. Surveys suggest many feel sorry for the monarch because his private life is actually anything but private. Respondents also believed that King Charles would be difficult to emulate, as the late Queen Elizabeth had commanded the respect and admiration of the world in a way that the new monarch simply could not, the report said.

“Despite the Queen’s familiarity, many realized that they actually knew more about King Charles than about his mother: ‘We watched him grow up’, as some observed. They spoke of His active interests in areas such as conservation and the environment, agriculture, construction, his stewardship of the Duchy and his work spreading opportunities through the Prince’s Trust,” the inquiry said.

‌The survey also conducted 44 focus groups with people of various backgrounds from the UK and eight so-called “Commonwealth countries” (Australia, Bahamas, Belize, Canada, Jamaica, New Zealand, Papua New Guinea and the Solomon Islands). People expressed sympathy for King Charles’ tumultuous personal life, saying: “I think it’s really sad that he doesn’t have time to really grieve. And then people bash him for being pissed off with a pen. The man is just exhausted and struggling for his mother Condolences.”

A commentator from England said, “It’s a bit of a mystery that the Queen was able to grow into this role, as there are only newspapers, not 24/7 social media, so things can be kept private”, while another from Northern Ireland said : “The queen is more of an invisible person. Because I grew up with Charles and he’s the Prince of Wales, so he’s more approachable and I think more tangible.”
