Soon after King Charles III’s coronation plans were revealed last night, royal fans and commentators began speculating whether Prince Harry and Meghan Markle would attend the event.
Some believe the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are unlikely to attend the king’s coronation, as Meghan and Harry do not want to incur the wrath of the public for going against what they stand for as members of the royal family.
A palace source also said the Queen had decided to say her final farewell to her youngest son Harry and would not force him to attend the coronation.
In the name of truth, Harry and Meghan have been attacking the palace to sabotage the royal family in the name of truth in their interviews, on the show and in the duke’s memoir Spare. After their bombshell, the couple didn’t even dare to attend the event. If they did, it would surely be a colossal failure for the Sussexes and would undermine all their claims to the company.
If the Duke and Duchess of Sussex are invited to the coronation, they will not be able to join the king and queen on the balcony with the rest of the royal family.
Harry previously delivered an ultimatum to the king after a series of devastating attacks on the royal family. Asked about their attendance at the coronation, the duke said “a lot can happen between now and then”.
Meghan’s husband issued a six-word ultimatum to the royal family, saying: “The ball is in their court.”
There are also rumors that King Charles may be ceding the throne to his elder brother, Prince William.
