King Charles’ Trooping the Color scheduled for June 2023 | Entertainment

[ad_1]

King Charles’ Trooping the Color will take place on June 17, 2023.

Buckingham Palace has announced that, like his late mother Queen Elizabeth, the Queen’s birthday will be in June.

Charles – who took the throne automatically after his parents died on September 8 – will officially turn 75 on November 14.

Queen Elizabeth’s birthday is April 21.

The festivities will see “more than 1,400 parading soldiers, 200 horses and 400 musicians”.

From Buckingham Palace, the procession will follow the shopping center to Horse Guards Parade. The tradition of horse and carriage rides by members of the royal family will continue. The royals will then head to the balcony of Buckingham Palace to view the RAF Flyover.

The palace also confirmed that Catherine, Princess of Wales, has taken over the post of Colonel of the Irish Guards from her husband, Prince William, who is now a Colonel of the Welsh Guards.

And Camilla, the Queen, has become Colonel of the Grenadier Guards.

Meanwhile, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex will reportedly be invited to King Charles’ coronation despite their royal claims on the Netflix show.

Although no official invitations have been sent out for the May 6 event, Charles said the couple would be welcome.

An insider claimed last week: “Harry is his son and His Majesty will always love him.

“Despite the current difficulties, the door is always open.”

Another source said that even if Harry, 38, made further allegations against the royals in his forthcoming memoir, “Standby,” ahead of his father’s coronation at Westminster Abbey on January 10, the invitation It is also “unlikely” to be retracted.

They added: “I know there have been conversations surrounding their participation in the coronation, and while there are many potential pitfalls between now and then, I don’t see a change in His Majesty’s attitude towards this.”

But another source said it would be “utterly hypocritical” for the Sussexes to attend the coronation after slapping a racial slur on an unnamed royal.

“It would be utterly disingenuous, but it wouldn’t be surprising if they did, let’s just say it,” they said.

Buckingham Palace declined to comment, saying the guest list for the coronation had not yet been compiled.

Harry’s controversial remarks on the Netflix show “Harry and Meghan” included claims that he was raised by an alternative family in Africa and the military.
