The UAE is one of Romania’s most important partners in the region, the country’s first business partner in the Gulf. Against this backdrop, Romania is committed to developing a deep partnership in all areas of mutual interest, the same source said.
The Romanian leader’s visit to the UAE aims to deepen political-diplomatic dialogue on topics of greatest mutual interest, boost economic relations between the two countries, and attract investment to Romania through projects such as infrastructure, energy, combating climate change, cybersecurity, and food security .
Developments in the Middle East, especially those directly affecting security in the vicinity of the European Union and NATO, and the war in Ukraine are two other topics of discussion on the official agenda.
“During the visit, relevant Romanian ministers and officials will sign several bilateral documents in the fields of energy, cybersecurity and education,” the same statement read.
President Klaus Iohannis will also visit Masdar City, a project aimed at providing modern solutions for energy security, climate change and sustainable development.
