KNRI Kannadigas should collaborate in planning events in UAE – Praveen Shetty
United Arab Emirates: All community associations and groups representing the Karnataka Non-Resident India Forum gathered at the Fortune Atrium Auditorium in Dubai on March 5 under the leadership of Praveen Kumar Shetty, President, KNRI, UAE.
Addressing the gathering, Praveen Kumar Shetty said that all community leaders and organizers belonging to Karnataka need better coordination and cooperation among themselves and ensure that all major event dates should not conflict with other shows as this will Dividing Kannada lovers and spectators, this will end up driving the event with low footfall.
It was further discussed that some organizers were conducting shows without preparation and proper scheduling for high-profile purposes, with a small audience, which would affect the credibility of all Kannadigas in the UAE.
Sarvotham Shetty, Abudhabi Karnataka Sangha Chairman, Suvarna Rajyotsava Award recipient, added whenever he is invited to represent the UAE and the Gulf alongside other countries, the names of the major contributors to the advancement of the Kannada language in the Gulf are always mentioned.
Shashidhar Nagarajappa, President of the Karnataka Sangha in Dubai, thanked the people of Kannada for their support for the successful continuation of the Kannada Pata Shaale over the past 9 years, offering free Kannada instruction to over 650 students in 2023.
All community leaders and representatives from different Kannada speaking groups and organizations expressed their views and opinions for better coordination and full support and cooperation in all upcoming Kannada language projects and activities.
Also, all leaders highly condemn recent incidents in which a Kannada activist’s unethical attention seeking and misleading statements will have a negative impact on all Kannada activities in the region.
Praveen Shetty expressed and expressed his sincere thanks to all the invitees and informed them that he is awaiting elections to update them on KNRI’s comprehensive activities for the people of Karnataka.
