Lad’s flight from UK to Abu Dhabi is shorter than train from London to Manchester

[ad_1]

Let’s play a game of “Would you like to?” Embark on a train in dreary Manchester for the 200-mile and two-hour (possibly overbooked) train ride to London, or fly to Abu Dhabi, where the sun is almost guaranteed?

It’s probably not too tricky a decision anyway, but what if I told you that the latter option is also cheaper?

This may be hard to understand considering the typical journey from Manchester to Abu Dhabi is a seven-hour flight and 4,600 miles, but Tik Tok content creator Rob Adcock It has been proven that it can be done.

To demonstrate just how cheap travel really is, Rob used his account to prove that there are some amazing deals out there – just go out and find them.

To prove his point, Rob and a friend managed to get from manchester Get to Abu Dhabi from just £69. In comparison, a standard one-way train ticket from London Euston to Manchester Piccadilly costs £71.

I know train fares are very high at the moment, but the fact that you can get to Abu Dhabi for cheaper than traveling across the country is pretty remarkable.

So how exactly did Rob do it?

Well, if flying isn’t your thing, Mega Deals might not be for you, as the flights are definitely not non-stop.

That’s because the first leg of the trip involved a £21 flight from Manchester to Rome, with Rob actually spending the day in the Italian capital before connecting flights.

Speaking to LADbible, he said: “We were in Lazio [football team] We were playing that night and we could go see them and fly to Abu Dhabi the next day. “

Then came the most impressive part of the trip – the £48 flight from Rome to Abu Dhabi, which took around six hours.

Granted, the flight was spartan and there wasn’t any entertainment on the long flight, but Rob got to the same spot anyway, allowing him to visit a place he’d never been before while enjoying some football.

There, Rob visited all the sights, as you usually do when visiting a new place — but the TikToker was particularly impressed with one iconic landmark.

“Without a doubt, the best thing we saw was the Great Mosque. I’ve been lucky enough to travel all over the world, but this is the most impressive man-made thing I’ve ever seen,” he said.

Rob is of course a football fan, although he is far less impressed by the standards of the sport in the Middle Eastern country than the Grand Mosque.

“We were obviously there for football and it was horrible,” he said.

He added: “This is the worst football I’ve ever seen, I’m a Forest fan so I’ve seen some shit over the years.”

The bargains didn’t stop with the outbound flights, as Rob managed to snag a one-bedroom suite in a five-star hotel for £35 a night – “can’t complain,” he adds.

Food is also relatively cheap, but Abu Dhabi might not be the best place to spend a drunken holiday with friends as it can get “expensive” quickly, the content creator said.

The flight back to Manchester is a bit more expensive, but certainly not too expensive anyway.

“A flight from Abu Dhabi to Rome is £34, but a flight from Rome to Manchester is £70,” says Rob.

This makes the total return flight £104 – meaning the total flight cost for this trip is £173.

The whole point of Rob’s TikTok account is to show that you can indeed travel for cheap, not just for airfare.

As Rob documented his trip to Abu Dhabi, he showed how he brought his own tea bags and asked the flight crew for hot water during the trip – for free.

No matter where you go, you must have a drink, right?

It wasn’t just Abu Dhabi that Rob visited recently, as he also took a return flight to Milan from London Stansted, which cost just £13.

In contrast, Rob said it was cheaper than buying two coffees and a cake at a coffee shop, which totaled £14.25.

“[The idea behind] Coffee and cake because I don’t think people realize how cheap you can get them [flights]. And I think you can only really appreciate it when people compare it to something else,” he added.

So, you’re probably all on the plane for a cheap holiday and have sunscreen and flip flops at the ready – but where on earth can you find such cheap flights?

Rob explained: “Skyscanner is something we go to a lot and we tend to click on ‘flights from most of the UK’ and there’s a feature to click ‘anywhere’.

“Then try to figure out where is the cheapest place to go that weekend.”

Rob adds that hotel sites like Kayak and TripAdvisor are useful, and concludes for anyone looking to take the plunge: “You can always find the best flight and the best hotel, and there are a lot of tools out there to do that. It doesn’t Might be more straightforward.”
