Lahaina Cannery’s Summer Pau Hana Collection Features Local Food, Free Entertainment: Maui Now

The Lahaina Cannery invites the public to celebrate summer with local restaurants, live music and pop-up stores during a 4-week series of events. Free family events will be held every Wednesday, Thursday and Friday from 3-5pm from June 21st to July 14th.

Participating events include Star Noodle and Duckine offering signature dishes for purchase every Wednesday, Da Soriano Grindz local and Filipino favorites every Thursday, and Outrigger Pizza every Friday, except on June 23rd Jersey Mike’s offers a sandwich pull among new foods Courtyard of the Heiner Cannery.

To kick off the summer collection, Kanekoa will perform live music on June 21st from 3-5pm, and attendees may also see Nevah Too Late, Anthony Pluke, Uncle Kevin Brown, Kason Gomes, Ahumanu, George Kahumoku, Rock Hendricks, and Nuff Sedd are featured throughout the event series.

Lahaina Cannery continues to renovate the interior of the mall and food court. This summer collection is a great introduction to what has been revived.Visitors to the Cannery will likely appreciate the new interiors throughout the center and food court area, which feature an abundance of new seating, foliage and entertainment arena.

The Entertainment Stage near the Cannery’s Front Street entrance hosts hula performances every Sunday from 1pm to 2pm.This is followed by hula lessons on stage every Tuesday from 2:30-3:30 pm and Hawaiian-inspired crafts and ukulele classes at the Cannery Center every Wednesday from 2:30-3:30 pm

All cultural events are free.

The Lahaina Cannery continues to host the Lahaina Art Society every Friday and Saturday from 9 am to 4 pm on the lawn in front of Starbucks. Participants can talk stories with local Lahaina Art Society artists, view and purchase paintings, glass art, ceramics, photography, wood carvings, jewelry and more.

Lahaina Cannery encourages local shopping through its retailers including ABC Store, Banana Wind, Boss Frog’s, Crazy Shirts, HIC Surf, IPU Island Crafts, Jean’s Warehouse, Maui Island Creations, Maui Toy Works, Pink Nails, Serendipity, Three Crowns Jewelry, Pualani Maui, Salt + Hair, Under the Rainbow and T-Shirt Factory. Other businesses include Coldwell Banker Island Properties, Denny’s, Jersey Mikes, Longs Drugs, Plantation Museum, Safeway and Starbucks.
