Wednesday officially marks the past two years later Kobe and Gianna Bryant and one man who took the time to honor them was Bryant’s former teammate Lamar Odom.
Lamar shared a video message while acknowledging the anniversary of their deaths. He shared the video on social media, captioning it, “Always in my heart. I didn’t want to believe it when I heard you’re gone, it took me some time to digest your magic on earth No longer available to us.”
He continued, “I told my manager that I used to stand by your side so some of your ‘magic and mamba spirit’ could fall on me. It did. I was lost for years. But was able to pick up the phone Calling you to get my ass bitten out always gets me back. If heaven has a call…rest beans. I know you and Mambacita played a few basketball games there. Watching us until we meet again .”
Lamar also shared the necklace his management gave him in honor of Kobe and Gianna.
This chain, designed by Scoobie Da Jeweler, is made up of what Bryant himself put it, “Rest at the end, not in the middle.”according to TMZthe chain is made of 25 carats of VS diamonds and is worth about $17,000.
