Ian ‘H’ Watkins of Steps secretly dated NYSNC’s Lance Bass.
The 46-year-old singer revealed that ex-boyband heartthrob Lance, 43, asked him out on a date years ago, and that H brought his bandmate Faye Tozer as a “wingman”.
Speaking on Fearne Cotton’s Radio 2 show “Sounds Of The 90s,” he said, “I had a date with Lance from NYSNC. Faye was with me as my wingman.”
However, H admits the date got a little weird when David Hasselhoff showed up.
He said: “Then when we were out, Lance invited David Hasselhoff and his kids out.
“David made his kids sleep on a nightclub bench while we all attended the party.”
Faye, 46, added that Steps enjoyed partying with many celebrities in the United States during its heyday.
“We walked into a bar, Gwen Stefani was there, and we met Engelbert Humperdinck’s son. Then we went back to his house,” she said.
H is the father of 6-year-old twin boys Macsen and Cybi, who were born through egg donors and conceived a year before his split from long-term partner Craig Ryder.
Last year, he and new boyfriend Tom Hope split after three months of dating.
He said: “I did hard love from day one and it was just something I had to do because I was a single parent from the beginning and they were little boys and they were challenging. It was survival.”
Meanwhile, Lance married actor and visual artist Michael Turchin, and the couple welcomed twins Alexander and Violet in 2021.
