Lapita, Dubai Parks and Resorts, Autograph Collection, the UAE’s only Pacific Island-themed family resort, has appointed Faiek El Saadani as its new General Manager, bringing more than 24 years of hospitality experience to the position.
El Saadani’s career has spanned the globe, with extensive experience in the UAE, India, Thailand, Azerbaijan, Germany and Poland.
Prior to joining Lapita, El Saadani was General Manager of W Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, where he oversaw the overall rebranding and repositioning of the first W hotel in the UAE capital.
Early in his career as a hotelier, he honed his skills primarily in the food and beverage sector. Constant exposure to this thriving and ever-evolving aspect of the hospitality industry has solidified his roots in F&B and operations. His finger is always on the pulse of this vitally important aspect of the overall guest experience.
Faiek joined Marriott in 2003, serving as Food and Beverage Director at Marriott properties in Delhi, Mumbai and Bangkok. In 2015, he returned to the UAE as Hotel Manager at the St. Regis Dubai, located in the heart of the Habtoor urban complex.
A year later, he was promoted to General Manager of the same hotel and became part of the opening team at The St. Regis Dubai, where he played a key role in establishing all operational and strategic elements which helped maintain the hotel as a key player in the region.
