Lee Seung Gi Says Trust With Hook Entertainment CEO Kwon Jin-young Is Broken

Singer and actor Lee Seung-gi confirmed Thursday that he had asked his agency, Hook Entertainment, to release his payment records, and in the process his “trust was broken” with the agency’s CEO, Kwon Jin-young, over her alleged Threats and insults.

In a statement released Thursday by Lee’s legal representatives, law firm Bae Kim & Lee (BKL) and Bestway, Lee had asked his agency to disclose full account statements for all albums Lee was a part of, and to report accordingly to He pays.

Li, who has been a popular singer since his debut in 2004, claims he has not received any digital streaming or song download fees.

During his 18-year career, Lee wrote a total of 137 songs, many of which are still widely known today.

“Lee, who has been represented by Hook Entertainment for 18 years since his debut, fully trusts his agency in terms of financial settlement,” his representative said. The representatives claimed that Lee Jae-yong asked his agency to come forward on the matter, but the agency shirked responsibility, gave excuses and made insulting comments about Lee Jae-yong.

“During the process, Li was threatened and degradingly insulted by Quan,” they said. “Then, Lee decided that he could no longer maintain his relationship with Kwon and Hook Entertainment, whom he relied on like family.”

Representatives for Lee said they also plan to “closely examine” the legitimacy of Kwon and Lee in other matters.

In connection with the controversy, Kwon said in a statement released Monday that “everything was the result of my negligence and lack of virtue.”

“If it is confirmed that it is Hooker Entertainment or I will bear legal responsibility [for the matter]I’m not going to dodge or avoid it,” she said.
