Sola Jazz Lounge is the latest place to support this genre, hidden inside the newly opened Raffles Palm Dubai Hotel. Offering a variety of sounds from affectionate jazz to funk and Latin; Sola has a group of talented music artists every Tuesday to Saturday.
Claudia Patrice performs soul, jazz, and Motown music on Tuesday, while Nutella Riot Trio offers gypsy jazz on Wednesday, and Carrie Gibson’s Nuvo five-piece fashionable jazz on Thursday.
JR Trio will invite a different guest to the Latin jazz performance on Friday, and the duo Henrick Solera will show off their talented singing and keys every Saturday.
Menu items include bar snacks such as crispy fried squid with jalapeno and spicy mayonnaise, rock shrimp tempura with togarashi and black truffle vinaigrette and black cod and shrimp dumplings, fired otoro and den Miso sauce.
Cocktails are a major focus of the venue, and its iconic sling cocktail is the first to be enjoyed with or without spirits, while maintaining the integrity of its flavor. As envisioned by the award-winning in-house bartender Zlato Kihler, it uses the vegetarian-friendly aquafaba to achieve the unique micro-foam on top.
