Abu Dhabi: 42 Tuition-Free Coding School in Abu Dhabi is inviting applications for the upcoming May 2023 course, which will start on May 1st via a boot camp.

A disruptive coding school that offers free education and uses peer-to-peer gamified learning methods will use Piscine Bootcamp to select candidates.

Potential applicants must complete 42 Abu Dhabi’s pre-screening Piscine, an online assessment that assesses cognitive ability through logic and memory tests, and attend a virtual check-in discovery session for a briefing on Piscine and study methods.

Derived from the French word meaning swimming pool, Piscine is an intense and immersive bootcamp that tests candidates’ computer programming skills as well as their drive, perseverance and dedication.

This is the final stage of application for the 42 Abu Dhabi program and is designed to prepare students to learn the basics of programming and is also an opportunity for all coding enthusiasts to identify their own areas of interest in software development while also immersing themselves in the 42 Abu Dhabi advocated collaborative environment.

In order to pass the Piscine exam and enroll in the 42 Abu Dhabi course, candidates must dedicate time during the 25-day course to fully master the study skills of 42-Abu Dhabi. Once candidates successfully pass Piscine, they will be able to join 42 Abu Dhabi’s coding program and start their learning journey.

Diploma in Software Development

All 42 Abu Dhabi students who complete the school’s common core curriculum, four additional modules and a six-month internship are eligible for a diploma in software development accredited by the UAE’s National Qualifications Center (NQC).

While no previous coding experience or education is required to apply to 42 Abu Dhabi, candidates must be at least 18 years old and possess an innate ability to adapt and collaborate.

42 Abu Dhabi’s tuition-free model is based on peer-to-peer learning technology that uses project-based gamification to develop flexible learning pathways. Students earn points as they complete courses. The school is open 24/7 and aims to foster creativity, teamwork and self-discipline by putting students in charge of their own learning journey.

Launched in 2020, 42 Abu Dhabi is an initiative of the Abu Dhabi Department of Education and Knowledge in partnership with the Ghadan 21 accelerator program to drive Abu Dhabi’s continued growth through multifaceted investments in business, innovation and people.
