As we all know, Lil Duval will tell the truth. The comedian has a certain charm in tearing up themes on his Twitter and Instagram accounts. From relationships with women to political and cultural habits, Lil Duval is not sure about his daily themes. On Friday, the artist decided to use his platform to give a speech to industry colleagues who only support mainstream art.
Lil Duval focused on everyone who attended the 50 Cent’s “BMF” premiere on Thursday. This list includes LaLa, Snoop Dogg, Monica and Kandi Burress among others. He attended in person and noticed a major difference between the guest lists of two similar events. He compared the Thursday night premiere on Instagram with the premiere he attended for Boosie’s biopic “My Struggle” earlier this week.
“Every celebrity you can think of attended the BMF premiere,” Lil Duval wrote on Instagram. “But at the premiere of @hesbackagain2021, I only saw @qcmceo_p, @troublemmb and @iamdesibanks.”
He went on to say: What I want to say is that we must support the streets as we support mainstream things. Especially in the south. Because they don’t really joke with us, they just deal with us.
As you may already know, Boosie released an independent biopic called “My Struggle” on Friday, September 24-the same day as Lil Duval’s explosion. This film tells the life story of the rapper from childhood to stardom. It can be played on its own website for only $19.99. Fans can expect to see faces like Boosie playing herself, YFN Lucci and Quando Rondo.
