Lil Nas X receives cease and desist letter from metal rap artist who claims he ripped her out of pregnancy promotion idea for his album ‘Montero’

Metal rap artist Dana Dentata is taking it seriously, @Blast reports new charges At Lil Nas X, she claims she gave up on the idea of ​​pregnancy and childbirth altogether to promote his album “Montero” from her album “Pantychrist.” She claims that his “Lil Nas X Gives Birth” video and subsequent artwork depicting his pregnancy were stolen from her album, which was released months before his return in September. Dentata claimed that he used “copyrighted material” “essentially the same as the ‘Pantychrist’ music video and apparently based on the work”. If Lil Nas and Dentata can’t reach a settlement, she threatens to file a formal lawsuit against him for copyright infringement.

Cease and desist statement “The ultrasound images posted by your client and the photos that appeared on Instagram and People magazine depicting Montero with a fake stomach while he was pregnant are also nearly identical, and again explicitly use my client’s works as their basis. You have neither requested nor obtained a license to use my client’s work as the basis for LIL NAS X GIVES BIRTH and as promotional content for Montero, nor to make or distribute copies of it. We therefore believe that you knowingly violated her rights.”

Additionally, Dana Dentata further calls for an immediate cessation of all releases of the album:

“I request that you immediately cease use and distribution of all infringing works derived from the work, and all copies, including electronic copies, and, if applicable, all unused, undistributed copies that you provide to me, or destroy any copies of such copies immediately , and you stop this or any other violation of her rights in the future. Incredibly, you want to damage your artist’s public image, and your client’s reputation for falsely claiming he created this copyrighted content .”

As of now, Lil Nas X has not publicly responded to the allegations or the cease and desist application against him.
