Breathtaking waterscape

Water, soil, and fire are combined “Waterscape of Expo 2020” — One of the most fascinating sights on site.

Huge pieces of water rolled down from the 13-meter-high vertical wall. Organizers said earlier that at night, water will flow upwards against gravity.

The waterscape of Expo 2020 is located between Al Wasl Square and Jubilee Park, combining elements of water, earth and fire.

The 153 individual waves range from shimmering sheets to water waves leaping from the walls, and they descend dramatically into the square below.

Visitors can walk to the bottom of the waterfall to see how the water disappears through the stones.

The center of this function is a “mysterious circle of fire”, which produces huge flames of red, green and yellow tones.

The taste of Qatar

Performers participated in a traditional dance at the Qatar Pavilion that opened today.

In the pavilion, the walls were transformed into huge screens, showing the country’s vision for the future, as well as innovation, technology, sustainability and the upcoming FIFA World Cup in 2022.

At the same time, six totems were erected to contrast with the display on the wall.

The design and construction of the Qatar Pavilion only took five months to accelerate. The sharp and wide format of the pavilion refers to the national emblem of the country. It has two crossed curved swords, including a dhow and an island overgrown with palm trees. The design aims to transform these cultural elements into movement, mobility, strength and tradition.

The exhibition hall occupies approximately. 960 square meters, can accommodate a total construction area of ​​approx. 620 square meters.

You can rent bicycles around the Expo 2020 site. There are 23 stations set up for tourists to book and use bicycles.

The Road and Transportation Administration (RTA) said on Friday that Careem has been 230 bicycles to visit the exhibition facilities. Bicycles can be booked through the Careem Bike app.

Sheikh Mohammed visits the Expo site

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President, Prime Minister and Ruler of Dubai, has arrived at the Expo 2020 site.

A tweet from the Dubai Media Office stated that the ruler of Dubai is currently inspecting the Expo headquarters. Accompanying him are Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, and Sheikh Maktoum bin Mohammed bin Rashid, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance of the UAE · Al Maktoum.

On the first day, he will visit pavilions in the UAE, the United States, China and Kazakhstan.
