The UAE cricket team will be donning an all-new kit, which will debut at the T20 World Cup in Australia next month.
The kit and a stunning new logo were unveiled by the Emirates Cricket Board (ECB) on Thursday.
The colours of the new jersey – rich magenta and vibrant blue – were inspired by “the beautiful winter in the UAE”.
While key elements of the logo remain the same, the color palette incorporates gold and a sophisticated look designed to honor and pursue our nation’s vision.
The reinvigorated logo exudes confidence and elegance and now sits proudly on the vibrant jersey.
“We are delighted to be launching our new logo and jersey ahead of the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup (2022) and we look forward to seeing (this jersey) in the backdrop of Australia’s spectacular World Cup venues.” ECB Member Zayed Abbas said Thursday.
Abbas, who will also lead the UAE team to Australia for the T20 World Cup, added: “Our board is very proud of the new logo for UAE cricket, which represents the rich history and honours our sport’s deep roots in the UAE , and, while we’ve retained core design elements, we’ve embraced a dynamic shift in primary colors to symbolize our progressive future and better align with today’s sports and business environment.”
The T20 World Cup will run from October 16th to November 13th.
The UAE were drawn in Group A in the first round with Sri Lanka, the Netherlands and Namibia. The top two teams from both groups qualify for the Super 12.
