As the government of Abu Dhabi’s official channel for social donations, fundraising is deployed transparently and donors select projects that best align with their priorities and values.
The work was inspired by the UAE’s Falaj irrigation system, developed by the country’s forefathers, which exemplifies the value of shared wealth. As such, the movement encourages community members to contribute in support of a range of social priorities, including health, education, the environment, social sectors and infrastructure.
Mobile Applications
The agency recently launched a new mobile app, Abu Dhabi MAAN, which enables donors to quickly and easily commit to projects of their choice.
The app is available on iOS and Android devices.
“Those who contribute through Ma’an become part of a collaborative community that supports the delivery of sustainable solutions and lasting social impact,” said Faisal Alhmoudi, Executive Director of Ma’an Social Investment Fund.
“Ma’an’s fundraising campaign has enabled community members in the emirate of Abu Dhabi to support third sector organizations and support a number of social priorities in line with the government’s ongoing commitment,” he added,
