Serco, an international public services company, has promoted its Director of Corporate Development, Daniel MacGregor, to Chief Growth Officer – a new role for the Middle East.
MacGregor has been promoted to this role as Serco continues to strengthen its position in the UAE and grow significantly in Saudi Arabia in support of Vision 2030.
The new Chief Growth Officer role will oversee multiple parts of Serco’s business and be responsible for developing and implementing Middle East strategy, including all customer discovery, solution and proposal development, as well as project transitions, marketing and communications, and managing experience experiments at Serco’s user-centric design agency room

Effective immediately, the new role will be responsible for driving Serco’s growth agenda in the Middle East and bringing global capabilities to the region to support the government’s vision. MacGregor’s goals also include increasing the efficiency and transparency of Serco’s Middle East operations, as well as improving ways of working to continue to support, understand and meet the needs of Serco’s many different customers.
MacGregor initially joined Serco’s Middle East operations in 2004 as a Market Intelligence Analyst and has since been promoted to the executive leadership position of Corporate Development Director.
In this role, MacGregor led Serco’s overall sales strategy in the region, in addition to spearheading the implementation of the new Serco business development strategy to new clients including various mega cities. An example of this is the recent launch of the organization’s space arm, which draws on contracted capabilities announced earlier this month from the European Space Agency, the US Space Force and the UK Space Command.
