The Nafis plan aims to increase the number of UAE nationals in the industry from 2% to 10%
The Ruler of Dubai announced that the leading conglomerate Majid Al Futtaim (MAF) will receive priority in government contracts.
The announcement is based on the group’s Plans to hire 3,000 Emirati As part of the recently launched local talent promotion program Nafis.
Sheikh Mohamed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, said: “Brother Majid Alftem…Thanks and appreciation.”
The Nafis plan-announced last week as part of the 50 plan project-aims to increase the number of UAE nationals in the industry from 2% to 10%.

CEO Alain Bejjani said earlier that hiring local talent is MAF’s top priority. “We believe this is a competitive advantage and an integral part of our long-term success.”
Sheikh Mohammed praised the organization’s initiative on Twitter on Saturday, saying: “The country’s partner companies…and companies that only want to take away from the motherland. We instruct the government that Majid Al Futtaim has priority Right to government contracts.”
