The Make-A-Wish Foundation announced that it has fulfilled the wishes of 610 severely ill children from 31 countries in 2021, noting that it has fulfilled 5,000 wishes since it was launched in 2010.
Sheikha Sheikha bint Saif bin Mohammed Al Nahyan, Honorary Chairman and Life Patron of the UAE “Make a Wish” Foundation, wife of Dr. Sheikh Sultan bin Khalifa Al Nahyan, Advisor to the President of the UAE, said that the 50th anniversary is an exception because many charities have been initiated Plan and stated that despite the COVID-19 pandemic, the foundation has fulfilled 5,000 wishes.
She added that the foundation has also fulfilled its 2021 strategy, achieving 610 wishes for 339 boys and 271 girls from 31 countries, and she is happy that the foundation has successfully realized its strategy. This is due to the donations and ethical culture of the UAE community, as well as the support of chiefs, business leaders, companies, federal and local authorities, and philanthropists.
Sheikha Sheikha emphasized that the foundation has fulfilled the wishes of 383 children in the UAE and 227 children in Jordan.
“At the beginning of the country’s upcoming 50 years, our goal is to strengthen the UAE’s overall achievements, especially in the humanitarian field. We look forward to establishing further beneficial partnerships with public and private entities,” she further added.
