Mashreq, one of the MENA region’s leading financial institutions, has appointed Mohamed Abdel Razek as Group Head of Technology, Transformation and Information.
In this role, he will lead Mashreq’s technology organization and drive the successful delivery of all digital services. He will be responsible for adopting new and emerging technologies, ensuring exceptional service to clients and seamless collaboration with external partners.

Razek is a seasoned technologist with approximately 30 years of experience, having led group and regional technology functions in large corporations. Of note is his experience at Standard Chartered Bank, where he began in 2015 and last served as Chief Technology and Operations Officer for Africa and the Middle East. Razek also worked at British American Tobacco from 2007 to 2015, ultimately as Head of Global Technical Services.
He holds a degree in Electrical Engineering from McGill University in Canada. His broad expertise in technology and digital transformation, combined with his leadership experience, will help drive the success of Mashreq’s technology organization. — trade arab news agency
