Matthew Perry quits ‘Don’t Look Up’ five minutes after his heart stopped beating.

The 53-year-old actor, who was cast as a Republican reporter in the Adam McKay-directed film, was forced out of the project after his heart stopped beating during surgery, and he needed CPR to survive.

In his new memoir, “Friends, Lovers and Terrible Events,” Matthew has “some kind of strange medical device” [his] Come back” – Says: “I was shot at 11:00 AM.

“Eleven hours later I woke up in another hospital. Apparently propofol stopped my heart. It lasted five minutes. It wasn’t a heart attack – I didn’t flatten – but nothing was beat.

“I was told that some strong Swiss guy really didn’t want the guy from Friends to die on his desk and did CPR on me for a full five minutes, beating me in the chest. If I Not in ‘Friends’, will he stop in three minutes? Did ‘Friends’ save my life again?”

Matthew also fractured eight ribs while undergoing CPR.

The actor, best known for playing Chandler Bean in Friends, shared: “He may have saved my life, but he also broke eight of my ribs.”

Meanwhile, Matthew recently revealed that he spent at least $9 million to sober up.

The actor has struggled with alcohol and drug addiction for years, and he has gone to great lengths to tackle it.

“If you’re not sober, you lose everything you put in front of it, so my sobriety is there,” he said.

“I’m a very grateful person. I’m grateful to be alive, that’s for sure. It makes it possible for me to do anything.”
