Former five-time world champion Floyd Mayweather believes he entertained the crowd during his exhibition match against Youtuber Deji last Sunday.
Dej, the younger brother of YouTube star KSI, seemed out of place when Mayweather teased him during the fight.
Mayweather danced, joked and barely broke a sweat during the fight.
At the end of the sixth round, Mayweather began to punish Deji – forcing the referee to intervene.
Dej admitted that Mayweather taunted him in the ring, sometimes just for fun.
“He’s just there to have fun, do whatever. He talks a lot, saying ‘I’m Money Mayweather, I do what I do!’ etc,” Dej said.
“It takes a lot to get into the ring and I’m proud of what I did because at first I was terrified of fighting Floyd. Look at me now, I’m here with a big smile on my face. His punches The positioning was really good, his accuracy was really high, he was very smooth. I did catch him, but I was a little bit skeptical about myself in the ring and over time I got the rhythm.”
Mayweather had bruises around his eyes but didn’t seem bothered by the minor damage. He credits Dekki for hitting a good shot, which may have been one of the few flush punches Dekki has ever made.
“Great, you guys want something to watch. I have to close the gap and that’s what happens when you guys close the gap. I’m glad Deji hit a good shot. It’s part of the fight, it’s entertaining Part of it. Everyone wants to see entertainment, and that’s what we’re giving them,” Mayweather said.
