Media industry, entertainment alliance pledge to end TV bullying

UK Performing Arts and Entertainment Union fair posted a Commitment be opposed to bullyingharassment and misconduct on television.

Equity is calling for a meeting of these organisations where they share a commitment to creating a work environment where everyone is treated with dignity and respect – with no tolerance for bullying and harassment – ​​and any concerns raised will be responded to and acted upon promptly.

In practice, this means creating safe casting and audition spaces where professional recruitment standards will be applied and auditions will be conducted in appropriate workspaces; producers will explicitly respect work policies, which include raising and addressing concerns about bullying and harassment and complaints process.

Additionally, information will be shared with cast and crew on how to raise concerns if they are a victim of or see a victim of misconduct, for example, information on the phone list and displayed in public areas, getting support and Ways to report the helpline and protective touchpoints for each product; cast and crew will complete anti-bullying and harassment training before starting work.
